APPROVAL PROCESS
After receipt of the above noted documents, the application will undergo an administrative review. Included in the review is the scoring of the open book jurisprudence examination. If any additional information is needed, or if the jurisprudence exam score is not sufficient, the applicant will be advised.
When the administrative review is complete, the file will be forwarded to the five-member Board for review. Following Board approval, the applicant will be provided with a Notice of Registration by postal mail.
From the time the file is complete with the Mississippi application, the jurisprudence examination and the NCARB Council Record, licensure will take 3 to 4 weeks if there are no extenuating circumstances.
ARCHITECTURAL SEAL
Rule number 3.04 provides instructions on producing an official seal. Please note that a seal sample is due within 60 days of the date shown on the official Notice of Registration letter. Licenses will not be activated until the seal sample has been received and accepted by the Board. Also, failure to provide proof of seal may result in disciplinary action by the Board.
WALL CERTIFICATE
Once a license is activated, the holder should print a certificate of standing from the Board website. Wall certificates will follow, but may take up to four months depending on timing and the Board meeting schedule.
