Complaint Procedure
The Mississippi State Board of Architecture and the Landscape Architecture Advisory Committee are charged by the
Legislature to protect the HEALTH, SAFETY and WELFARE of the Public.
Any person may prefer charges against any other person for committing any of the acts set forth in subsection (1) of Section 73-1-29 (Architect Registration Act) and subsection (2) of Section 73-2- 16(Landscape Architect Registration Act) of the Mississippi Code of 1972, as amended.
Charges may be made upon actual knowledge, or upon information and belief, and should be filed with the
Board or Committee in writing.
The Board, through an investigative committee, will investigate all charges received, and will determine if there is reasonable cause and sufficient evidence. If so, and charges result, the accused practitioner will receive a Notice of Charges and Complaint explaining the charges and the practitioner’s right to a hearing before the Board.
